Why the .xyz? Honestly, because it was cheap and I liked the ring of it.

I’m Justin, better known as Astr0x. I’ve been an FPV pilot for three years, a proud dog father to two Dobermans, and a lifelong collector of pocket knives.

I started this blog because I wanted a creative outlet that others might actually find entertaining. I have a deep nostalgia for the old blogs and forums of my youth—those fountains of knowledge and stories ripe for the harvest. Seeing those spaces gobbled up by corporate ventures felt wrong. In a way, this site is my personal pushback against the "dying of the light" of the independent internet.

Maybe you’re hiding in the bathroom at work and have just enough time for a short post. Maybe you’re an OG veteran or a total novice looking to make the hobby feel a little less daunting. Either way, I hope you find my ramblings—incoherent as they may be—at least somewhat entertaining.
